Members are especially needed and are welcome anytime! The music is challenging, but we do everything we can to train a willing heart. We try very hard to offer great music to our Lord in the most holy Mass. To get started, you can just show up at the church for rehearsal, but it's probably a good idea to send a message below so that we know to look for you.
The Knox Latin Mass Schola rehearses any time on the internet; Thursday nights from 6:30-8:00 PM; and on Sundays from 12:50-1:20 PM at Holy Ghost Catholic Church normally in the choir loft but occasionally in the music room.

About the leader, Mary Garner:
Let me start by saying that presently I am just an ordinary, homeschooling, Catholic mother. When I was a very young girl I would pray for God to give me a beautiful voice so that I could reach all the way to heaven and hopefully sing to His glory one day in a heavenly choir. The answer to this prayer came with a very long search. I studied and performed all sorts of music. This spiritual journey led me from a small Baptist church near my parents farm to a very beautiful and high Episcopal Church in town. By day I taught chorus in school and church and by night I sang in the local opera chorus. The only thing missing in my perfect life was my husband. Then I met him, and he showed me that my path was leading me to the one true Church, the Catholic Church. Just a few months later I converted. There was a Latin Mass community forming in my diocese, and they needed someone to lead the music. Of course while I was very reluctant, my then fiance was quick to say, "Mary is a choir director!" Finally as I began to study Gregorian Chant and sacred polyphony. As time went by, I realized that it was God answering the prayer from my childhood. Now, I sing with His heavenly choir here on Earth and still hope to do so one day in Heaven.
Over the years, the schola has enjoyed offering selections at the request of members of the Knox Latin Mass Community. If you have a musical selection that you would like to hear, let us know. We can't make promises, but will do our best!
